The Moors Inn, Appleton-le-Moors

Thankfully, this is part of the country where almost every village still has its local pub at the heart of its community. And with the quality of local ingredients so high, this means there are plenty of options for a good meal. And we're not short of variety either with everything from beautifully fresh fish and chips up to Michelin-starred restaurants within 10 miles of us. To give you a flavour, here are just some local establishments:

- The Buck Inn, Wrelton:

Our 'local' is just around the corner from Beech Farm. Serves quality meals showcasing locally-sourced ingredients (new owners took over in December 2021).

- The Fox & Hounds, Sinnington:

More of a gastropub with excellent food that is slightly more expensive than other pubs.

- The New Inn, Cropton:

Good food and excellent beers from its on-site brewery (tours also available).

- The White Swan, Pickering:

Award-winning hotel, restaurant and bar in the centre of town. Excellent food in a pleasant atmosphere.

- The Crown, Hutton-le-Hole:

Family-friendly pub overlooking the picturesque village green - fantastic on a summer day.

- Blacksmiths Arms, Lastingham:

Great reputation for its homemade fare and real ales.

- The Star Inn, Harome:

Stunning Michelin-starred gastropub just outside Helmsley.

- The New Inn, Thornton-le-Dale:

- The Moors Inn, Appleton-le-Moors:

- Spice4U, Pickering:
