Yorkshire is often referred to as 'God's Own Country' (or County). Beech Farm is located towards the east, and benefits from the North York Moors National Park, the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Heritage Coast on its doorstep. Slightly further afield but still within a day trip from our cottages, you will find the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the west of the county.
Our specific location in the Vale of Pickering has the added benefit of historically averaging less than half of the rainfall of other nearby National Parks, the Lake District and the Peak District, and less than other UK-holiday destinations like Devon, Cornwall and Wales.
If appreciating beautiful scenery and the stereotypical English countryside is on your agenda, there genuinely is nowhere better to visit.
